The award recognizes Chiracon’s growth, the team’s dedication, and the importance of the Luckenwalde site for innovative pharmaceutical manufacturing

Luckenwalde, September 26, 2026 – Chiracon GmbH was awarded the “Grand Prix for Medium-Sized Businesses” (Großer Preis des Mittelstands) by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation. The award ceremony took place on September 26, 2026, in Würzburg.
This award is a special recognition of Chiracon’s growth and, at the same time, of the people behind the company. Employees, management, partners, and former colleagues have contributed significantly to the company’s growth through their dedication, expertise, and willingness to take on responsibility.
“This award belongs to our entire team. It is a recognition of the collective achievement of many people who have shaped and advanced Chiracon over the years,” said the management of Chiracon GmbH.
Chiracon stands for innovation, highly specialized chemistry, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. At its Luckenwalde facility, the company develops and manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients and supports customers through various stages of drug discovery and development. The combination of chemical expertise, process development, scale-up, and GMP-compliant manufacturing forms the foundation for collaboration with partners in the national and international pharmaceutical market.
Strong Support from the Region
Chiracon’s development is closely tied to its Luckenwalde location and the Brandenburg region. The “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes” award is therefore not only a personal honor for the company, but also a strong signal for Brandenburg as a business and industrial hub.
Chiracon would like to express its sincere gratitude to the Oskar Patzelt Foundation as well as to the Berlin and Brandenburg service offices of the Oskar Patzelt Foundation for the nomination and support.
Special thanks also go to the regional and financial partners who have accompanied and supported the company’s development: the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg (ILB), the Brandenburg Economic Development Agency (WFBB), Commerzbank, Berliner Volksbank, and Union Credit.
Chiracon would also like to thank Jochen Neumann, mayor of Luckenwalde, as well as Kornelia Wehlan, district administrator of the Teltow-Fläming district, for their support and commitment to the company and the location.
Award as Incentive for the Future
For Chiracon, the award also serves as an incentive to steadfastly continue on its chosen path. Through investments in innovation, highly specialized chemical expertise, and modern pharmaceutical manufacturing, the company aims to further expand its position as a partner to customers in the international pharmaceutical industry.
“The Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Businesses is both a recognition and an incentive for us. We are proud of what we have built together in Luckenwalde—and look – and look forward to the coming years with high aspirations.”
From Chiracon’s perspective, the award demonstrates that innovative and highly specialized pharmaceutical production can grow successfully and operate internationally even outside major metropolitan areas. Luckenwalde and Brandenburg offer an environment where entrepreneurial commitment, professional expertise, and industrial innovation come together.
Chiracon thus combines regional roots with international reach and views the Grand Prize for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses as an important milestone in the company’s future.
